About a roofer. The roofers we refer are independent businesses, and we cannot settle disputes over their work, prices or contracts. Start by raising the problem with the roofer in writing and keeping copies. If that doesn't resolve it, you can contact the Missouri Attorney General's Consumer Protection Hotline at 800-392-8222. We would also like to hear about it, because we may stop sending requests to a roofer when homeowners report problems.

About insurance. If the issue involves an insurance company, a claim or a public adjuster, call the Missouri Department of Commerce and Insurance, (800) 726-7390.

What we can't do. We can't act as your representative, negotiate with a roofer or an insurer for you, or give legal advice. If a dispute involves a contract or a large sum, consider speaking with a lawyer.
